Sinar Jernih commenced operations in the year 2001, and registered itself as "Sinar Jernih Sdn Bhd" - a branch of Sinar Jernih Sdn Bhd at Malaysia. The company was headed by the same board of directors as at SJSB Malaysia, and the India operations was headed by Mr. Josyula. S. Shekar, as its Country Manager. The Nodal Office for India was situated at Chennai.In the year 2002-August-Sinar Jernih needed to be a local organization with sustained technology and expertise, for easy facilitation and customer services flexibility. The application for registering the firm as "Sinar Jernih (India) Private Limited", (SJPL) got approved officially in the month of August 2002.
The corporate office at Chennai is fully equipped with all the latest and modern communication system as well as support system. The control systems are on-line with the regions for complete and continuous supports.
The company offered services to the hospitality segment in India and commenced its operations with contracts in cleaning and maintenance services with the Taj group and the Oberoi hotels group. The Taj Palace, New Delhi, was the first public area and HOH area contract signed, with specifications of 24 hrs services provision including cleaning and maintaining all areas and all surfaces prescribed. The Oberoi hotel, Bangalore was the other contract where SJSB was delivering specialized Verdi green marble stone enhancement all over the hotel, including the public areas and guest rooms. The technology for such enhancement was and is available only with Sinar Jernih.
SJSB offered a unique and comprehensive package of Men, Machines, Materials and Management contract to the hotels which was found to have several cutting edge benefits and advantages to the industry which earlier did not exist.

Sinar Jernih's has set up a "state-of-the-art" training and development centre at Chennai for catering to the knowledge enhancement and staff skills preparations. This training centre has all necessary design areas to match the existing needs of Sinar Jernih's customers.
The faculty is well experienced with all the syllabus and modules based on the current industry trends and technically aligned with leading international environment service institutes.
Further, SJPL in India has now ventured into Engineering and Maintenance services, Comprehensive Lawn and Garden services, Laundry services etc., making it a name to reckon with in the Facilities Management industry.
